hot new talent, coming through

September 10th 2007 11:22
Boo! Did I scare you? Probably not, I mean it was you who clicked on the link to view this blog. And I applaud you for doing so dear sir or madam because you have just opted to learn about the next big things before they make it in the realm of mass consumption. This, ladies and gentlemen is exclusivity.

So who are these new prodigies destined for greatness? The two entities I'll be presenting to you today are both set to rock the airwaves in their respective fields with beats to get you in the mood and blow your mind. First up, I'll be covering the next big thing in experimental sounds and then I'll be moving on to hip hop's new signature act, Young Prince and Alazay who put their Darq Dayz productions together in their very own Darkqdays studio.

So first of all Flipbook Productions- the English young lad behind these ambient beats designed to brighten your day has always been musically inclined. Studying media at college meant getting some experience in the traditional forms of media, but capturing the masses meant going it alone with his own brand of awesomeness. How to capture and quantify this awesomeness you ask? Apple MacBook to the rescue. With software such as Garageband and Final Cut Pro, the creative mind behind Flipbook Productions churns out music that sounds like a sun shower bottled or the soundtrack to a winter blizzard captured.

There is no actual album yet, but a music heavyweight or two has expressed interest in this fine gentleman’s musical creations. The way this blogger sees it, it's only a matter of time before Flipbook Productions is responsible for your life's soundtrack. Do yourself a favour and get the music playing earlier, check out the links below to sample the beats that'll be blasting out movies and clubs left right and centre just as soon as the rest of the world catches up.

In case you want pictures to accompany your audiory asventures, the mind behind Flipbook Productions is also into photography view it here

What's coming up? How does a creative mind work? Check out the regularly updated blog and find out.

Phew. Okay, I'll give you a second to catch your breath and then we're off into the world of hip hop beats to sample the latest offerings from Darqdayz Productions. The brains behind this club and r & b sensation are Young Prince and Alazay and they construct their trademark beats with state of the art monitors, sound cards and instruments. You know someone is serious about getting their music out there when their home becomes Music Central. Vocals are recorded in a professional studio and some professional mastering tweaks the vocals but the writing, mixing and arrangements all get done at home.

Breathing okay? Great, let's find out how the music club-goers will be dancing to in 6 months time comes together.

It starts with a groove. Just jamming in the studio means more structure is added and this can mean anything from a theme to a killer line. Sometimes things fall into place quickly and other times it takes a little longer, but the boys definitely know a winner when they hear it. Some minor re-arrangements later and the creative process has spawned a brand new track with an absurdly addictive hook and a beat to set any dance floor off. Currently the boys promote themselves through myspace, but this December is set aside for their album's debut. Once this happens Australia can brace itself for radio and club promotion and fans can get more of this act through interviews and gigs.

Can't wait 'til then? Find out what everyone will be getting down to in 6 months time by clicking the link below.

Why no post for Sept. 11? Because of the false flag attack? HG.
