We're all just part of the herd

In the West (where we know best) we tend to be an individualistic society. We want to make a name for ourselves, have wealth to show off out status and do what's best for us. This however, does not make us a bunch of loners- quite the opposite actually. Because we are part of one society, we value the same things and strive for the same goals. We unwind in similar settings and we largely have homogenous taste in everything from clothing to food, which is why chain stores are so successful.
It is therefore unsurprising that the younger members of our ranks can be fond congregating in large herds and highly visible venues.
One such venue happens to be the gym.
In case you missed it (though I sorely doubt it) we're massively health and image conscious. Yes alright, we might splurge on junk food, but tomorrow you know we'll regret it and be off to the gym to sweat it out on the treadmill for a couple of hours. If you want to find a young person, go to a gym after work- I guarantee they'll be toning up their bods trying to out do each other out of vanity or insecurity.
Alternately, if exercise isn't your thing (although I doubt this also) you might want to go a coffee selling venue- the type that has loyalty cards. I mean all the calories that get burnt off at the gym have to come from somewhere, right? Well, they do in fact, come form the coffee and other beverages that we grab on the run to work, during a lunch break, while we're on an all liquid diet and when we don't have the time to sit and eat a proper meal... probably because we're rushing to get to the gym. That and we love free stuff, so if you want to earn us as customers, give us loyalty cards.
Hope that was insightful, but if you’ll excuse me, I have to go claim a ice coffee.
