Generation DIY: Another Musician Doing It For Himself
November 7th 2008 00:51
Hello my loyal readers, so good of you to grace me with your company once more.
For today's offering, I've tracked down another Australian musician that's set to make an impression on the music industry all on his own. He goes by the name of Panadole and as he pointed out to me, there's another 'E' on the end of his name so there'll be no law suits for him!
His music is defined as indie/pop punk/ alternative but I personally think its music to walk down little backstreets to and meet up at a funky café that you and your closest pals haunt. The lyrics can be either funny or offensive and the beats range from dance-y to chilled, but the overall sound never sounds of mass production. Here, check him out for yourself and make up your own mind. <A Click
Señor Panadole's tunes are initially assembled on site at his residence but the finished production comes out of a studio run by an Overlord Producer. Yes, this endeavour is costly but it's an investment into the arts and this musician's livelihood, so you can see why it's worth it.
Music produced and ready to be performed, our musician has no trouble finding venues to sample his audio creations and it seems venues are tripping over themselves to showcase Panadole. They might be going through withdrawals however, because this musician is focusing more on recording at the moment so he's currently more of a studio regular.
While the venues and fans are welcoming, the music industry overall is not so great; specifically it is 'tough' and to succeed you must have 'thick skin and keep your mind on the goals [you] want to achieve." wise words from our recording artist in the know.
